Some snippets of our trip to Gyeongju and Ulsan back in late August

Here are some red peppers drying on the sidewalk in our neighborhood. They are a fairly common sight and are made into a paste which is a key ingredient in kimchi (the national dish in Korea).

Here's a somewhat candid shot of Kristin, Teresa and Anthony waiting for the bus from Gyeongju to Ulsan, 4 and 6 hours away from our place in Suwon.

This is the interior of one of the buses we rode. They were quite comfortable. It was enjoyable to read, listen to music and stare out the window at the lush Korean countryscapes.

Here is the view of a courtyard at a restaurant we ate at in Gyeongju. We had an incredible salad of mixed greens and some amazing fish.
